Job description

What are my responsibilities?

  • Develop the Communications strategy for the country – derived from the Country Business Strategy and embedded into Corporate, Division and Regional Communications Strategy
  • Act as a Business partner to the Country CEO and Country Management with regard to all communication activities in the Country
  • Exercise governance in the Country for communication activities according to global standards, policies and procedures
  • Represent the Company in the Country and establish and maintain personal relationships and trusted partnerships with key influential journalist and opinion leaders
  • Manage communication budget of the Country and exercise oversight over external local agencies/suppliers
  • Initiate the development of annual communication plans in the Country – based on the Country strategy, the communication architecture and aligned with Corporate, Division and Regional Communications activities
  • Drive innovations in Country Communications
  • Coordinate communication activities, functions and services on the country level and continuously streamline communication resources  to ensure optimization of quality and costs in the Country
  • Support cross-country projects in the region, the identification of synergies, sharing of best practices and ensure transparency
  • Actively support Hot Spot Events in the Country and leverage all resources necessary to make the event a success and to foster an integrated communication approach
  • Ensure execution of other special communication projects and crisis communication in the Country where necessary and applicable as well as the observation, analysis and benchmarking of communication activities of competitors and/or best in class companies in the Country
  • Ensure tracking, performance measurement and reporting of Country Communications activities
  • Collaborate within the Regional Communications Management Team and within the Global Communications Leadership Team
  • Lead, coach and develop the Communication team in the Country

Desired Skills and Experience

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, or comparable field and education
  • Further experiences in managing complex communication projects and crises communication
  • Many years of professional experience with specific experiences across different communication functions
  • Detailed market expertise in Siemens Businesses
  • Native Persian speaker,  fluent in English
  • Ability to work with a wide range of cultures at various levels
